Back to Practice: clinic letter to clients
Dear new and returning clients of Shade Tree Massage Therapy,
I am writing you this letter to inform you of the recent changes made in the clinic. These are to provide you with treatment that takes into consideration your health and safety during this time of COVID-19 awareness.
I am completing the BC COVID-19 self-assessment tool daily and am requesting you do the same the day before your treatment. If you have traveled outside of B.C. in the previous two weeks please delay your appointment until you have been home for two weeks. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, or loss of smell please stay home. Appointments can be rescheduled. Consider calling 8-1-1 to receive testing. Patients at greater risk please decide if the risk of contact is worth the benefits of massage treatment as distancing is not possible in the treatment room. As usual, informed consent to treatment will be required.
You will be asked to wash your hands upon arrival at the clinic or you may use hand sanitizer. We will discuss what measures you need in place during treatment to provide peace of mind. You may request that I use a face mask and if you would like to use your own please feel free to bring one with you.
All high contact areas in the clinic space and washroom will be disinfected before each client arrives. The table and face rest will also be disinfected. As usual, I will be washing my hands before you arrive and again before your treatment.
I will initially be booking fewer clients to ensure time between clients to clean properly and eliminate the possibility of clients having contact with each other. Please use the south entrance (the door around the right side as you face the house) that leads directly to the treatment room since this is a home based business, to minimize contact with shared spaces.
We will review some of this information upon your arrival. I am looking forward to working with you and appreciate your time and careful consideration with these new procedures in place. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions.
